Hard to believe how many adventures and how much life we’ve experienced together this summer. Whether it’s beers at VBC or bloodies at A-Basin, snowboarding at Breck or skiing at A-Bay, mountain biking at Vail, Park City, Aspen, or at home in Avon and Eagle, concerts at Red Rocks or the Ford Ampitheater, or the many miles of highways and trails that provided the journey, it’s been non-stop adventure!

During the first two days of @thesnowpros Rider R

During the first two days of @thesnowpros Rider Rally, my group focused on building skills and movements to help with quicker steering and better absorption in variable terrain.
.
On day three we got to apply everything we had been working on in a foot of fresh snow!
.
Marshall and I have chatted online for years, but Rider Rally was the first time we’d had the opportunity to ride and clinic together. He brought an awesome level of energy to the group, and it was so fun seeing him progress through the week. We shot this clip on the last day while exploring the fresh snow

Hard to believe it’s already been a month since

Hard to believe it’s already been a month since the 2021 PSIA-AASI Team Selections! It’s been a crazy month, and I’m way behind on sharing photos and adventures!
.
This was captured on a sneaky pow day at @breckenridgemtn during National Academy and Rider Rally that just happened to be our last day serving on the 2016-2021 Team.
.
Leading groups during events was pretty different this year, but the stoke of a group of snowboarders on a pow day is always the same. My group was hooting and hollering as they rode down towards Linda, spraying snow and jumping off rollers.
.
We spend a lot of clinic time moving slowly, focusing on fundamentals, and working through drills. Every now and then we get to open it up a bit and apply all of those little tidbits. The result is visible joy in a simple ollie off a roller on a pow day!

Friday marked my last day of work as a member of the 2016-2021 PSIA-AASI National Team, and what a day it was!
.
Thank you to this awesome Rider Rally crew, who made it a day to remember. It’s been an incredible 5 years of learning, growing, and sharing a passion for snowboarding with rad people around the globe. Leading training as part of the National Team has been the greatest honor of my life, and it’s days and crews like this that hammer that home.

To everyone I’ve had the privilege of training with these last 5 years: Thank you for letting me be part of your journey!

This is a shot from my first long ride wakefoiling without a rope a few weeks ago. After a few short rides where it started to come together, on this go it just happened.
Last year we weren’t sure if we would ever get this wakefoil thing figured out to a degree that we could surf without the rope. This summer proved that perseverance in learning (through bruised thighs, sliced shins, and smashed toes) pays off.
The feeling of surfing a hydrofoil on a wake is unreal, as seen in my expression of incredulity. This is the closest feeling you can get to riding 2’ of pow.

These are multi-week courses designed to provide some additional training and workshop through common challenges of AASI certification.
