One of our most commonly asked questions is “How do I prepare for a snowboard or ski vacation?” While there is no easy answer, there are a number of ways you can prepare your body and mind for a trip to the mountains. Off-snow training regiments can benefit riders in many ways, including conditioning, balance, and freestyle advancement. For those that don’t know, my wife and I spend our summers in Fairbanks, Alaska. I grew up in Fairbanks, learned to ski about the same time I learned to walk, and started snowboarding at age 10. People think of Alaska as a skiing and snowboarding Mecca, and while areas of Alaska are incredible, Fairbanks is cold, and doesn’t get much snow.Read More »Getting ready for winter
